The Laam fashion week began on the 23rd of October and will conclude on the 26th of October 20206.

The event was sponsored by Skynet and held at the Expo Centre in Johar town.

The event was well attended by journalists, designers and socialites.

The fashion week was a raging success. It kicked off with Starry Night, where all well-established designers such as Karma, HSY, Hussein Rehar, Kamiar Rokini, Mahgul and others showcased their work.

PIFD students also exhibited their work. Their work was creative and original, and one can anticipate them to grow into big-shot designers. Amongst the students were Noor Fatima, Momina Kashif, Mohammad Omer and others.

Sania Maskatiya stole the show. She was in the limelight. Her clothes were beautiful as she played with charming and vibrant colour combinations. Her work featured traditional gota lappa and chunri.

Saira Rizwan also had a stunning collection of clothes. She showcased clothes with mirror work and also used pleasant colour combinations.

The heart of the show was when Minha displayed its work. Durefishanan, the lead of the Hum TV drama Dar e Nijaat, was the model for Minha’s show. She made the audience squeal in delight as their hot favourite walked down the ramp.

The show closed with Neelofar Shahid, who is a renowned name in the fashion industry and needs no introduction. Her clothes speak for themselves. She’s a well-reputed designer who’s been in the fashion industry for a very long time.

Amongst the socialites were Amina Haider Isaani, Kamran Lashari, Hina Tayyab Khar (the VC of PIFD) and others.

I would like to mention here, not to forget, to appreciate the models who put in a lot of hard work to make this event possible.

On the whole, the event proved worthwhile and entertaining. It was a pleasure to watch the collections of so many designers. It was also a good opportunity to catch up with friends and acquaintances.

Laam is doing well. The transition from the Pakistan Sunsilk Fashion Week to Laam was smooth and commendable.

Hats off to the entire Laam team and the PR firm Lotus for putting together a flawless and fabulous event. Moreover, special thanks to the management for being so patient with the attendees’ queries.
