LAHORE: The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has finalized comprehensive emergency arrangements to effectively respond to challenges arising during the Monsoon 2026 season, ensuring the safe, reliable, and uninterrupted supply of electricity across its service areas.
In view of the expected heavy rainfall, windstorms, and adverse weather conditions, all operational teams have been placed on 24/7 high alert, while special Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) have been implemented to ensure a swift and coordinated response to any emergency situation.
LESCO has made the uninterrupted supply of electricity and the rapid restoration of power in case of outages its top priority during the monsoon season. Trolley-mounted transformers, emergency materials, and all necessary safety equipment have been positioned and kept readily available to tackle any unforeseen circumstances.
To enhance coordination and emergency response, LESCO has directed its field formations to maintain continuous liaison with WASA, district administrations, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), and other relevant agencies throughout the monsoon period.
At the LESCO Headquarters, Deputy Manager PDC Mir Mustafa, Bilal Adil, and the PDC Control Room have been designated as Monsoon Focal Persons. In all operational circles, the respective Deputy Directors (Technical) will perform the duties of Monsoon Focal Persons to ensure seamless communication and prompt action.
