SIALKOT: Consul General of Pakistan in Chicago, Mr. Zaman Mehdi, presented a Made-in-Pakistan football to Bolingbrook Mayor Mary Basta, highlighting the special sister-city relationship between Bolingbrook, Illinois, and Sialkot, Pakistan.

The presentation coincided with growing excitement surrounding international football events in the United States, where Pakistan-made footballs continue to play a prominent role on the global stage. Sialkot, internationally recognized for its world-class sporting goods industry, remains a symbol of Pakistani craftsmanship and excellence in football manufacturing.

Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Zaman Mehdi said that the football represented much more than a sporting item. He noted that it symbolized friendship, skilled craftsmanship, and strong people-to-people connections between Pakistan and the United States. He further emphasized that the sister-city partnership between Bolingbrook and Sialkot provides a valuable platform for expanding cultural, educational, commercial, and community-level cooperation.

The football presented to the Mayor had been brought from Sialkot with the support of a member of the local Pakistani-American community, further underscoring the strong ties linking the two sister cities.
