The meeting was attended by Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, senior federal ministers, and heads of key law enforcement and security agencies.
According to official sources, the session focused on the overall law and order situation in Balochistan, progress on security operations, and measures aimed at strengthening peace and stability in the province.
Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah also participated in the meeting alongside senior civil and military officials.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Shehbaz arrived in Quetta on a one-day visit, where he was received at the airport by Governor Mandokhail, Chief Minister Bugti, and senior government and military officials.
The high-level gathering is seen as part of the federal government’s continued engagement with Balochistan on security, governance, and development issues. Officials are expected to review the implementation of the National Action Plan and discuss strategies to further improve coordination between federal and provincial institutions.
The presence of Field Marshal Asim Munir and the country’s top security leadership highlights the importance Islamabad attaches to addressing security challenges in the province.
