Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has dismissed speculation about any change in the Prime Minister’s Office, calling the rumours baseless and misleading.
Speaking to journalists on Saturday, he said that no such development is under consideration after the passage of the federal budget 2026-27. He warned that certain elements were spreading false narratives to create political instability and confusion.
Sanaullah said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is firmly in office and is guiding the country in the right direction. He added that the premier has improved Pakistan’s global image and earned international recognition through his leadership.
He said the Prime Minister’s dedication, hard work, and commitment to national issues are widely acknowledged, and his policies are focused on addressing the country’s challenges.
Rejecting claims of internal political change, he reiterated that the government remains stable and united. He also said the government continues to keep dialogue open with the opposition for political engagement.
Referring to his party’s past in opposition, he noted that even during difficult times, political processes were respected and pursued democratically.
On regional matters, he said the easing of sanctions on Iran could benefit Pakistan by opening new trade and economic opportunities.
Regarding Gilgit-Baltistan politics, he said the PML-N would play a constructive opposition role, while noting that the PPP has emerged as the largest party and is in talks to form a coalition government.
