ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to present the annual budget of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on June 19.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan confirmed the development during a conversation with private news channel.
He said all members of the provincial assembly will attend the budget session. He added that lawmakers will support the Chief Minister during the budget approval process.
Barrister Gohar said the final decision regarding the budget presentation has been taken. However, he noted that some administrative discussions are still ongoing within the provincial setup.
He stated that the party had wanted to consult PTI founder Imran Khan before finalizing the budget. However, he said permission was not granted for a meeting to discuss the budget matters.
He added that PTI will not take any decision that could harm the interests of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He emphasized that public interest and provincial development will remain the top priority.
According to him, the budget will be prepared and presented in a way that supports economic stability and development in the province.
Party leaders have also indicated that all assembly members will stand united during the budget session to ensure its approval.
Further details regarding budget allocations and priorities are expected to be announced during the presentation on June 19.
