Sadiq Sanjrani welcomes baby boy after 21 years

Former Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani has welcomed a baby boy into his family after 21 years, drawing congratulatory messages from relatives, friends and well-wishers across Pakistan.

Sanjrani, 48, has received numerous messages from people congratulating him on the birth of his son. The news has attracted attention because of the long gap before the arrival of the new addition to his family.

Sanjrani served as chairman of the Senate from March 2018 to March 2024. He made history as the first politician from Balochistan to lead the upper house of Parliament.

At the age of 39, he became the youngest person to hold the position of Senate chairman, marking a significant milestone in his political career.

Sanjrani belongs to Nokundi, an area of Nushki district in Balochistan. Before taking on the Senate chairmanship, he held several responsibilities in government and political circles.

During 1998 and 1999, he served as a coordinator for the team of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. He later worked at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat from 2008 to 2013, during the Pakistan Peoples Party’s government.

His tenure as Senate chairman brought him national recognition, particularly as a political figure representing Balochistan at the federal level.

The birth of his son has brought a moment of happiness to the former parliamentary leader, with family members and well-wishers sharing their congratulations on the occasion.
