ISLAMABAD : The Diabetes Centre (TDC) Islamabad successfully conducted a free Diabetes and Eye Screening Camp at F9 Park, Islamabad, offering a wide range of health services to the public at no cost. The camp provided comprehensive screenings including blood sugar testing, blood pressure checks, BMI measurements, eye examinations for diabetic retinopathy and other vision issues, basic laboratory tests, and free consultations with expert physicians and specialists. This initiative was part of TDC’s ongoing mission to combat Pakistan’s high diabetes prevalence by identifying undiagnosed cases, delivering immediate medical guidance, and raising public awareness about prevention and disease management.

Early detection remains critical in averting severe complications such as kidney disease, cardiovascular problems, and vision loss, and this camp successfully brought essential services directly to the community. A TDC spokesperson emphasized that quality healthcare is a right, not a privilege, and that removing barriers to care ensures everyone—regardless of socioeconomic status—has access to life-saving screenings and professional medical advice.
