FAISALABAD: Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Faisalabad has started the process of installing fire hydrants in all government hospitals to ensure the safety of precious human lives. In the first phase, 4 fire hydrants have been installed at different locations of Allied Hospital. Similarly, 16 more fire hydrants will be installed in other hospitals.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif had issued orders to ensure the safety of precious lives of patients, especially children, in all government hospitals during any emergency situation, for which the responsibility of installing fire hydrants in government hospitals across the province including Faisalabad has been entrusted to the WASA administration.
WASA Faisalabad has formulated a plan to install a total of more than 20 fire hydrants in all government hospitals, on which practical steps have been started on an emergency basis.
In the first phase, 4 fire hydrants have been installed in front of different wards in Allied Hospital One and their testing has also been completed, while the excavation process is underway in different hospitals for the installation of the remaining 16 fire hydrants.
In this regard, WASA Managing Director Saqib Raza said that according to the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, WASA Faisalabad is committed to protecting precious human lives in any emergency situation, under which 4 fire hydrants have been installed in Allied Hospital, while similarly 4 in Allied Hospital Two, 2 in Children Hospital, 2 in FIC, 2 in General Hospital Samanabad, 2 in General Hospital Ghulam Muhammadabad and 2 fire hydrants will also be installed in Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Hospital, which will be completed by September 5, while if the need for more fire hydrants arises in any hospital, they will also be fulfilled.
He further said that WASA Faisalabad is implementing the programs of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif with full spirit and no compromise will be made on this extremely important program.
