ZNMD 2: Zoya Akhtar confirms the much-awaited sequel is in the works

Fans of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara finally have a reason to celebrate. Director Zoya Akhtar has confirmed that work on the much-awaited sequel, popularly called ZNMD 2, is underway. Released in 2011, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara became one of Bollywood’s most loved friendship films. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol, the movie followed three childhood friends who travelled across Spain before one of them was set to get married. Their journey became much more than a holiday, as each friend was forced to confront personal fears, relationships and unfinished emotions.

Now, 15 years after the original film, Zoya is considering what comes next for Arjun, Kabir and Imran. Speaking about the sequel, she confirmed that the team is working on it but remained careful not to promise a release date or final cast.
