The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has postponed its decision in a case registered against Aleema Khan in connection with the November 26 protest.
The court was scheduled to announce the verdict on Friday. However, the decision was deferred until October 1 as ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah is currently on leave.
The case was registered against Aleema Khan and nine other suspects over their alleged involvement in the November 26 protest.
The court had reserved its decision on September 22 after hearing the arguments in the case. The verdict was expected to be announced after the completion of the final arguments.
However, Aleema Khan’s counsel did not appear before the court to present the final arguments.
The court has now fixed October 1 for the announcement of its decision. Further proceedings will take place on the new date.
