Secretary-General of the DCO, Ms. Deemah AlYahya, said the initiative responds to the growing need for stronger global collaboration in addressing digital transformation.
She stated that the Global Expert Community will help convert “knowledge into actionable impact” and strengthen collective capacity to build “inclusive, resilient, and future-ready digital economies.”
According to the announcement, members of the GEC will contribute through expert dialogue, advisory input, capacity-building programmes, and the development of practical policy and knowledge resources to support decision-making and implementation.
The community will focus on key areas of the digital economy including artificial intelligence (AI), digital trade, digital investment, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, data governance, digital skills, innovation, and emerging technologies.
Participation will be voluntary, with engagement activated based on project needs and relevant expertise. Applications have been opened globally to qualified professionals across multiple sectors.
