The Islamabad High Court (IHC) bench hearing a petition related to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s request to meet PTI founder Imran Khan has been dissolved.
The petition had been filed in connection with budget consultations, seeking permission for a meeting between the KP chief minister and the PTI founder.
During the hearing, Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro issued a brief order and later sent the case file to the Chief Justice for further directions.
A written order stated that the Registrar of the Islamabad High Court submitted a report to the court.
According to the report, similar cases are already pending before a larger bench.
In view of this, the court observed that the matter should not proceed before the current bench.
The court directed that the case file be forwarded to the Chief Justice for appropriate allocation and further proceedings.
CM Sohail Afridi and KP Finance Adviser Muzammil Aslam had filed the petition, requesting permission to meet Imran Khan for consultations on the provincial budget.
The case will now proceed as per the directions of the Chief Justice, and no new hearing date has been issued yet.
