Man succumbs to injuries after landmine blast in Pewar

PARACHINAR : A man injured in a landmine explosion in the Khamzai area of Pewar, District Kurram, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.

According to sources, Shabbir Hussain was injured in the landmine blast earlier in the day and was shifted for medical treatment. However, he later succumbed to his injuries.

Landmine incidents have continued to occur in different parts of District Kurram in recent times. Similar incidents have previously been reported in Pewar and other areas of the district, resulting in civilian casualties and injuries.

Local residents have called for effective measures to identify and clear landmines from affected and sensitive areas to prevent further loss of precious lives.
