School van catches fire after Murree crash

MURREE: A van carrying schoolchildren went out of control near Lower Mohar Abrah Ahotra in Murree and fell off the road before catching fire, according to rescue officials.

The vehicle was carrying students from both private and government schools when the accident occurred. The van reportedly lost control and veered off the road, resulting in a fall down the roadside.

Rescue teams immediately reached the scene and began an operation to evacuate the children from the vehicle. All the students, including those who sustained injuries, were safely taken out of the van.

The injured and other affected children were provided with initial medical treatment at the scene before being shifted to Civil Hospital Murree for further care.

A rescue firefighting team also responded to the incident and successfully brought the fire under control. Officials worked to ensure that all children were evacuated before the situation was brought under control.

Murree Deputy Commissioner said the children were out of danger and their condition was stable. Some of the children were later shifted to Holy Family Hospital for further medical treatment and observation.

Authorities are assessing the circumstances surrounding the accident, while the rescue operation ensured that the children received timely medical assistance following the incident.
