The Rare Beauty founder made a stylish appearance on Monday, September 14, wearing a strapless, custom-made Louis Vuitton gown covered in gold beading. She completed the look with statement jewellery from Tiffany & Co.

The Calm Down hitmaker attended the ceremony to celebrate her acclaimed comedy-mystery series Only Murders in the Building, which was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series.

The series, which also stars Steve Martin and Martin Short, has Gomez serving as an executive producer while she plays Mabel Mora.

However, it was Gomez’s dramatic hair transformation that particularly caught fans’ attention. She wore her hair in soft, flowing mermaid waves that cascaded down her back, almost reaching her hips.

Her new look sparked a mixed reaction online, with some fans praising her appearance while others focused on different aspects of her styling.

One fan wrote, “Seeing Sel with her hair down reminds me of young Selena.”

Others appeared less impressed, with one commenting about her appearance: “What happened to her?”

“What in the Willy Wonka?” another fan added.

Gomez’s appearance at the Emmys came a day after Blanco attended a tennis match alone, watching Germany’s Alexander Zverev take on American player Ben Shelton.

The couple reunited in July after Blanco reportedly travelled across the Atlantic by boat to see Gomez in the UK, with reports claiming he was overcoming his fear of flying to celebrate her birthday.

It remains unclear whether Gomez and Blanco are currently living together or maintaining separate residences.
