During her surprise cameo in a Law & Order sketch at the Emmys, the “Opalite” singer played an NYPD rookie alongside Mariska Hargitay and Ice-T as they attempted to solve one major mystery: “Will Taylor Swift be at the Emmys?”

The sketch quickly sent social media into a frenzy, with fans dissecting Swift’s cryptic lines for possible clues about her next music project.

“In order to crack a Swiftie case, you gotta think like a Swiftie,” Hargitay, in character as Olivia Benson, told her team.

“Because the Swifties think that everything is a clue to what she’ll do next,” she added.

“OK, a crime board, now we’re talking,” Ice-T said.

“So let’s start with the Emmy nominations. Abbott Elementary, nominated for seven Emmys. Season six premieres this year. Seven and six, add ’em up, people,” Hargitay said, before Law & Order actress Kelli Giddish replied, “Taylor’s lucky number, 13.”

As Hargitay and her team began piecing together the clues, Swift made her entrance with a badge at her hip and a coffee mug in hand.

“Hey guys,” Swift said before adding, “This isn’t adding up.”

“Who asked you, rookie?” Ice-T replied.

“Our perp has a clear M.O. A lot of this doesn’t fit the pattern, and I don’t think everything is a clue,” Swift said. “I think what we’re gonna be looking for is hiding in plain sight.”

Swift then delivered a mysterious line directly to the camera: “Saccharide, Aries, from the vineyard, North or South.”

“What did you say?” Hargitay asked.

“I didn’t say anything,” Swift replied.

“Rookie’s weird,” Ice-T quipped.

The sketch continued with Swift saying, “Why would she be showing up to the ceremony tonight? She’s probably going to be sitting at home playing with those cats she’s named after TV show characters.”

Swifties quickly began analysing the unusual phrase, with some suggesting that it could contain hidden references to Swift’s next album or a possible deluxe edition of her debut album.

“Saccharide, Aries, from the vineyard, North or South — these are song titles for Debut deluxe?!?” one fan speculated.

Another wondered: “What if ‘from the vineyard’ stands for ‘ft. V’ — featuring V…?”

While there is no confirmation from Swift that the lines were intended as clues, the singer is well known for incorporating Easter eggs into her music, videos and public appearances, giving fans plenty of reason to dissect even the most cryptic moments.
