ODENSE: Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen is “doing well” after collapsing during a friendly match against Ukraine on Sunday, in a frightening incident that briefly halted play and sent shockwaves through the football world.

The 34-year-old former Manchester United and Brentford midfielder fell to the ground in the 64th minute of the match, prompting immediate concern from players and officials. Denmark captain Pierre-Emile Højbjerg praised the swift reaction of players and medical staff, calling the response calm, respectful, and crucial in managing the situation. Head coach Brian Riemer also described the incident as deeply shocking for everyone involved, highlighting his close personal connection with Eriksen from their time together at Brentford.
