The directives were issued during a meeting chaired by IG Sindh Javed Alam Odho to review the performance of the State Management department. The meeting focused on the current condition of Sindh Police properties and various administrative matters concerning their management.

During the meeting the IG Sindh directed officials to conduct a comprehensive and detailed survey of all police-owned properties across the province. The survey is expected to provide updated information about the condition and use of the properties.

It was also decided that complete records of Sindh Police properties would be compiled in a centralized data center. The records will include detailed information as well as photographs and videos of the properties.

The initiative is aimed at creating a centralized and organized record of police assets allowing authorities to monitor their condition and utilization more effectively.

IG Javed Alam Odho also directed officials to formulate comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs) and a policy for the maintenance, repair and security of Sindh Police properties.

The meeting further discussed properties that are currently rented out. Authorities were instructed to enter into fresh tenancy agreements with all existing tenants.

The IG Sindh directed officials to reassess the rents of police-owned properties according to prevailing market rates. The move is intended to ensure that rental arrangements reflect current market values.

Another key decision was taken regarding the leasing of Sindh Police properties. Under the new directive, no police-owned property will be rented out without prior approval from the State Management Committee.

The measures are expected to strengthen oversight and improve the overall management of Sindh Police assets. The centralized database, including photographs and videos, could also help officials keep track of property conditions and identify maintenance requirements.

The directives reflect an effort to introduce a more systematic approach to the management of police-owned properties, particularly in relation to maintenance, security, tenancy agreements and rental income.

Officials will now be required to proceed with the property survey digital documentation and reassessment of rental arrangements in accordance with the directions issued during the meeting.

The reforms could help the Sindh Police maintain more accurate records of its properties while ensuring that its assets are properly managed, protected and utilized.
