Jonathan Taylor Thomas arrested over alleged public intoxication

Jonathan Taylor Thomas has reportedly been arrested in California on allegations of public intoxication and resisting or obstructing a deputy during a traffic stop.

The former Home Improvement star was detained Monday after deputies reportedly stopped a vehicle in Westlake Village, California. Thomas was said to be a passenger in the vehicle when law enforcement officers began investigating the driver.

According to details from the case, the vehicle was pulled over while deputies conducted a DUI investigation involving the driver. During the investigation, Thomas was reportedly asked to remain inside the vehicle. However, authorities allege that the actor got out despite being instructed to stay inside.

Deputies reportedly told Thomas to return to the vehicle, but he allegedly refused to cooperate with their instructions. Authorities later arrested him on suspicion of obstructing the investigation and being drunk in public.

The incident reportedly took place in connection with the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station, where Thomas was booked following his arrest. He was later released after spending more than 34 hours in custody.

The identity of the driver involved in the traffic stop has not been publicly established, and it remains unclear whether the driver was ultimately detained or faced any charges in connection with the incident.

According to law enforcement officials, the driver was being investigated for suspected driving under the influence when Thomas allegedly became involved. Authorities said Thomas chose to leave the vehicle while deputies were conducting their investigation.

The actor was reportedly considered uncooperative after he failed to follow instructions from deputies. Officials allege that his actions interfered with the ongoing investigation, leading to his arrest.

The situation reportedly escalated further when deputies attempted to take Thomas into custody. Authorities allege that he kicked one of the deputies in the stomach during the detention.
