Kensington Palace has declined to reveal how Prince William plans to mark the 30th anniversary of his mother, Princess Diana’s, death.

A palace spokesperson told royal expert Richard Eden: “We wouldn’t comment on how the Prince of Wales will mark the anniversary.”

The comments came after royal expert Richard Kay claimed that Prince William’s brother, Prince Harry, had been in contact with some of Princess Diana’s former friends in Britain as the Duke of Sussex considers making his own film about his mother to mark the anniversary.

In a report for the Daily Mail, Eden subsequently claimed that William was also considering appearing in a television programme about Diana.

“I hear that his brother, the Prince of Wales, is considering appearing in a different television programme about Princess Diana,” Eden wrote.

“William has been approached with many offers and is thinking hard about what he wants to do,” an unnamed source close to William reportedly told the royal expert.

Regarding Harry’s reported documentary plans, a source close to the Duke of Sussex told Eden: “The Duke has discussed a number of possible projects.

“Nothing has been finalised or confirmed, and he is still considering the most meaningful way to honour his mother’s legacy during this important anniversary year.”

The reports come days after William and Harry’s uncle, Earl Spencer, made revelations about Diana in his book, prompting renewed attention on the late princess and her relationship with the Royal Family.
