Sangeeta reveals shocking secret behind third marriage

Veteran Pakistani actress and filmmaker Sangeeta has opened up about her personal life and revealed details about her third marriage.

The actress recently appeared on The Yazziastic Show, hosted by Yasir, where she spoke about her previous marriages, her experiences with domestic abuse and her decision to find companionship later in life.

Sangeeta revealed that she is currently married to Tariq Mendro, a film industry professional and distributor. According to the actress, the couple tied the knot around 14 years ago.

She explained that the marriage took place after she had married off her daughters and found herself living alone. Sangeeta said her husband proposed to her several times before she eventually decided that having a life companion could be meaningful as she grew older.

The actress also highlighted the qualities that made her comfortable with Mendro. She said he does not use abusive language, physically hurt women or engage in unnecessary arguments.

Sangeeta explained that disagreements between them are usually handled through silence rather than confrontation. She said that when either of them becomes angry, they give each other space instead of continuing the argument.

According to Sangeeta, this approach has helped their marriage remain stable. She also said that her husband loves and supports her.

The actress was also candid about her previous marriages. She revealed that her first marriage was to Humayun Qureshi, while her second marriage was to Naveed Akbar.

Sangeeta said she eventually chose divorce after experiencing physical abuse. Recalling that difficult period, she said she would sometimes arrive at the studio with visible bruises.

She strongly described physical violence as a serious warning sign in any marriage. Sangeeta stressed that no one should accept a relationship in which they are subjected to violence.

The actress’s comments have drawn attention because she openly discussed both the challenges she faced in her earlier marriages and her decision to start a new chapter of her life.

Sangeeta has remained active in Pakistan’s entertainment industry for decades. She has worked as an actress and director and has been associated with several television and film projects.

Her film directing credits include Society Girl, Nikah and Sona Chaandi. She is also currently associated with upcoming projects, including the feature film Mukho, which stars Saima, Moammar Rana, Meera and Layla.

Sangeeta has also directed the upcoming drama Bhulley Shah, featuring Saima, Shahid, Ayesha Fayyaz, Kamran Mujahid and Zaviyar Nauman.
