Shehbaz highlights Pakistan’s tourism potential on World Tourism Day

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the government is taking practical steps to expand and promote tourism across Pakistan, with the aim of presenting the country as a safe and attractive destination for international visitors.

In his message on World Tourism Day, the prime minister said Pakistan had enormous tourism potential and the government was committed to introducing the country’s natural beauty and cultural heritage to the world.

He highlighted Pakistan’s diverse climate, scenic mountain ranges and picturesque valleys, saying these attractions could draw tourists from different parts of the world.

Shehbaz also pointed to the country’s rich religious heritage. He said Pakistan has several historic and sacred sites associated with Sikhism, Buddhism and other faiths, making it an important destination for religious tourism.

The prime minister said tourism could play an important role in strengthening the national economy. Increased tourism activity can create employment opportunities, support local businesses and contribute to economic development.

He added that tourism also helps build stronger relations between nations by bringing people from different cultures together.

According to Shehbaz, travelling and experiencing different cultures broadens people’s perspectives and contributes to the development of human potential.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to developing Pakistan’s tourism sector and highlighting the country’s natural, historical, cultural and religious attractions at the international level.
