CDF Asim Munir orders maximum vigilance in KP

Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Corps Headquarters Peshawar on Tuesday and reviewed the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

During the visit, the army chief was given a detailed briefing on ongoing counter-terrorism operations, border management measures and the operational readiness of formations deployed across the province.

Munir appreciated the morale, preparedness and professionalism of officers and troops. He acknowledged their continued efforts to protect the country and its people amid security challenges.

The COAS directed the formations to maintain vigilance and ensure the highest level of operational preparedness. He said the armed forces, with the continued support of the nation, remained committed to defeating terrorism and establishing lasting peace and stability in the country.

The army chief also visited Yadgar-e-Shuhada, where he laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha for the martyrs. He paid tribute to those who lost their lives defending the country and fighting terrorism, saying their sacrifices would always be remembered.

Upon arrival at Corps Headquarters Peshawar, Munir was received by the Commander Peshawar Corps.
